Comparison at TCCON: Total Carbon Column Observing Network, Park Falls, Wisconsin

An early version of the mini-LHR was field tested at the NOAA WLEF tall tower site in Park Falls, Wisconsin in September 2012.

At this site, CO2 is continuously monitored at six heights on the 447-meter tower. Also at this site, CO2 is measured in the atmospheric column with the Fourier Transform Spectrometer (FTS) instrument of TCCON (Total Column Carbon Observing Network). In addition, a collaboration with NOAA's Carbon Cycle Greenhouse Gases (CCGG) Group, provided a comparison with aircraft flask sampling measurements that were timed to our data collection.
