Please join us for our Next Quarterly Community Forum on Monday, September 29 at 11a.m. EDT during which members of the study management team and executive science team will present the current definition of the ACCP science objectives and the status of candidate mission architectures that have been studied.  Participants can join the telecom through this link to learn more about the ACCP study plan and current progress towards identifying promising mission architectures that are responsive to the decadal survey and technically and programmatically feasible.

Schedule for architecture studies underway:

  • Architecture Construction Phase nearly complete (Architecture Freeze Planned for August 2020)
  • Concurrent Design Center (CDC) Studies #1-#4 Completed.  These provided Large, ESPA Grande, ESPA Class Spacecraft designs used to accommodate ACCP Instrument Suites of various sizes and capabilities and the accommodation of a JAXA Ku Band Doppler Radar.  The two remaining CDC Studies will focus on Mission Operations and Ground System Architectures including Science Data Processing, Distribution and Archival (July 2020) and Refinement of Architectures (October 2020)
  • Architecture Evaluation Workshops are conducted every two months reviewing Science Benefit and Programmatic Factors such as Technology Readiness and Cost.  These have been restructured due to Covid.
